When purchasing an air purifier, there are two key metrics that you need to pay special attention to in order to ensure that you are purchasing a product that performs well and suits your needs. These are CADR value and CCM value.

1. CADR value

CADR value is a key indicator of the purification ability of air purifiers, developed by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), is the international purifier products more authoritative measure of air purification ability of the recognized indicators.CADR value represents the volume of air purifiers can purify the air volume per unit of time, the higher the value of the CADR, said the air purifier purification ability is stronger.

CADR value is divided into particle CADR value and formaldehyde CADR value, representing the purification ability of solid and gaseous pollutants respectively. When choosing, the decision should be based on the type and concentration of air pollutants in your own home. For example, if the main pollutants in your home are solid pollutants such as PM2.5, pollen, dust, etc., you should focus on the CADR value of particles; if you need to remove gaseous pollutants such as formaldehyde after the renovation of your new house, you should pay attention to the CADR value of formaldehyde.

2. CCM value

CCM value indicates the cumulative cleaning mass of the air, which is an important indicator of whether the air purifier can purify the air for a long time, i.e., the service life and durability of the filter. the higher the CCM value, the longer the service life of the filter, the lower the frequency of replacing the filter, and the lower the cost of consumables.

CCM value is also divided into formaldehyde CCM and particulate matter CCM, particulate matter CCM grade are P1-P4 level, CCM value is greater than 12000mg, is P4 level (the highest level). Formaldehyde CCM grade is F1-F4 grade, formaldehyde CCM value is greater than 1500mg above is F4 grade (the highest level). When purchasing, you should try to choose the products with the highest CCM value of P4 and F4 to ensure the long-lasting purification ability and economy of use of the air purifier.

Other Precautions

In addition to the above two hard indicators, you also need to pay attention to the following points when buying an air purifier:

Applicable area: Choose the right air purifier according to the size of your own room to ensure air circulation and purification effect.

Noise level: Air purifiers produce a certain amount of noise during operation, and you should choose a product with a lower noise level to avoid affecting your daily life and rest.

Safety: Pay attention to the safety performance of the air purifier, such as whether it is equipped with anti-electricity leakage, anti-overheating and other safety protection measures.
